Medical Office Coordinator


This is a Full-time position in Dulles, VA posted February 2, 2021.

Description: nnPerforms select administrative duties.nn nnAssists front office and clerical staff in developing and implementing short and long-term work plans and objectives.nn nnOversees the process to prepare patients for examination and treatment.nn nnScreens telephone calls for referral to physicians.nn nnDevelops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained.nn nnAssists with scheduling of tests and treatment.nn nnIdentifies, analyzes, and resolves work problems.nn nnMay assist in the hiring and development of the clerical and clinical staff.nn nnEnsures office and clinical supply inventory is current, mail is opened and processed, offices are opened and closed according to established procedures.nn nnEnsures the timeliness and accuracy of patient charge entry into the billing system.nn nnAssists front office staff with ensuring point-of-service collections are made when applicable.nn nnEnsures that patients are treated courteously by the office staff and that other visitors are screened and properly directed.nn nnReplenishes office supplies when necessary.nn nnWorks with other administrative staff to ensure efforts are coordinated and high-quality patient care is provided.nn nnAssists in maintaining patient files, records, and other information.nn nnCompiles and condenses technical and statistical data for reports and records.nn nnEnsures any patient complaints are handled appropriately.nn nnParticipates in professional development activities.nn nnMaintains strict confidentiality.nn nnConducts staff meetings regularly.nn nnMust read and understand and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.nn nnPractice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Values statements.nn Top Skills Details: nn1+ year of clinical office experiencenn nn1+ year of supervisory experience nn nnEMR knowledge (they use EClinical Works)nn Additional Skills & Qualifications: nnThey are looking for someone who has previously managed or coordinated the front desk/office.

Do not have to have OBGYN exp, but could help.
