Dietary Aide (Chase City, VA)

Chase City Health & Rehab Center, in Chase City, VA, has a career opportunity for a Dietary Aide to round out our professional, award winning team and assist with the preparation and serving of meals and snacks to our patients and residents in a clean, safe environment. Part time shifts available are 6am -2pm OR 11:30am to 7:30pm

Successful service excellence candidates will have the following qualifications and ability to:


    • Assist with portioning of cold food items and beverages.
    • Prepare and label between meal snacks.
    • Deliver nourishment kitchen stock.
    • Assist with meal set-up and delivery.
    • Wash and sanitize all service ware using infection control procedures.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
    • Follow assigned cleaning schedule.
    • Comply with established food handling regulations including dietary policies and procedures, local health department instructions, and federal standards.
    • Work cooperatively with dietary staff and other Center employees.
    • Report safety and equipment issues to the appropriate individual.
    • Fulfill in-service training requirements.
    • Promote and demonstrate a Service Excellence culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to understand and follow direction.
  • Experience with food preparation preferred.
  • Must be flexible, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and be able to make effective decisions and work as part of a service excellence team.
