Manager, Business AnalysisThis role is for a highly analytical, data-oriented, and ambitious candidate with a proven track-record supporting the financial analytics needed in a M& A focused and/or wealth management business.You will work with United Income’s senior leaders to help shape the future growth and trajectory of the business.

This role requires exceptional financial modeling and forecasting skills, an acute attention to detail, and an obsession to build a transformative solution that is deeply impactful in the financial lives of our customers.

In particular, your responsibilities will include:Build and maintain financial forecasting models by working closely with an interdisciplinary team of wealth, sales, software, strategy, and finance professionalsMeasure, analyze, and report on acquisition portfolio performance, including return on equity, operating efficiency gains, and a range of expected vs actual synergy valuesFurther develop bi-weekly and quarterly reporting packages including financial performance, key performance metrics, and executive level explanations of variances and trends.Build, maintain, or refine financial valuation models, and work with a range of professionals in the utilization and maintenance of these toolsBuild out analytics and develop insights related to United Incomes significant investments and associated businessExecute ad hoc requests and facilitate financial impact analysis for special projects and initiativesPrepare confidential memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches, and other executive or externally facing presentationsWork closely with colleagues across Capital One to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitabilityPartner with finance and business teams to develop annual and multi-year plans for functional spend to drive capital allocation decisions, and broker across functions to align on multi-year investmentsAs the business grows, there is potential to build and manage a team of analystsTo meet these responsibilities, we are looking for the following skills:Strategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics.

Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation, given that a large part of the business is based on rigorous analytic marketing & risk managementStrong business judgment, leadership and integrity: Candidates should be a tenacious decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to businessStrong executive communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skillsClear results orientation: display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals.
